Her portfolio included developing policies and procedures throughout the operations, developing the Human Resources strategies and programs and overseeing the Environmental Health & Safety program at the container port. She ensured that proper governance, assurance and regulatory requirements were maintained and organized and directed the ISO programs at the facility. Sustainability and quality remained her hallmark throughout her tenure and this caused the Port to be recognized in 2016 as #1 by Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) study of the efficiency of 12 gateway ports in the Caribbean.

I have had the honor and pleasure of working with Mrs. Yvette Rahming for the past seven years. Gabrielle Rahming is an attorney practicing in The Bahamas and a Jr. Consultant at The Capital Group Ltd.  She has a  cross continent education, first obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio, United States of America in 2015, then later obtaining an LLB from University of Reading in the United Kingdom in 2018, following which she read for the Bar of England and Wales at Manchester Metropolitan University which she completed in 2019.  She subsequently earned a LLM in 2020 from Manchester Metropolitan University. Gabrielle’s notable work serving businesses in realizing its strategic objectives includes assisting with developing COVID-19 policies for employees working at home, opinions on independent contractors versus employees, employers’ obligations with respect to special classes of employees under Bahamian law, immigration matters etc.

Yvette C. Rahming, LLB, PG.D, LLM, CLE, CCEP-I, CQP-MCQI Yvette Rahming worked as a C-Suite Executive in a Blue Chip Bahamian Company.  She left an indelible mark on her previous company having been dubbed the “girl who gets it done” by her colleagues.  She is a smart young attorney with a lot of experience as an In House Legal Counsel under her belt, but her role crossed sectors – she was the Head of the company’s Environmental Health and Safety Department and served as the expert in corporate compliance and ethics.  These roles required her to be adept at processes development and management, assurance and quality control.  She obtained a number of designations over the years, obtaining the Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 standards certification from the ABS Group in Knoxville TN, USA and the Certified Corporate and Ethics Professional- International in Las Vegas Nevada via the Compliance Certification Board (CCB).  She is also a Chartered Quality Professional a designation awarded by the Chartered Quality Institute, the professional body for experts in quality management.
